Extremities

Extremities is the term used to denote the parts of our body from our shoulder to our hands and from our legs to our feet. As with any joint in the body, extremity joints can become subluxated (misaligned), and can result in chronic pain and injury. Some of the most common sports and work related injuries affect extremities: rotator cuff syndrome, tennis elbow, wrist sprains/strains, ligament/cartilage damage to the knees, sprained ankles, and flat feet. Chiropractic physicians are extensively trained not only to address musculoskeletal conditions of the spine, but also extremity injuries. Once a chiropractic doctor makes the proper diagnosis, a specific course of action can be taken to treat extremity injury through adjustments, physical therapy and rehabilitation. Pain and tenderness in extremities should not be ignored, and can lead to future health problems. Ask your chiropractic physician how they can help.
